تنظيم حتفال عيد العلم بجامعة السويس

أقيم بمسرح جامعة السويس حفل عيد العلم الثالث الذي أقيم برعاية وحضور أ.د أشـــــــــرف حنيجــــــل رئيس الجامعة، وإشراف أ.د. شريف فهمي القائم بأعمال نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون الدراسات العليا والبحوث، والسادة عمداء الكليات وأعضاء هيئة التدريس والباحثين بالجامعة.
حيث افتتح الحفل بعزف السلام الوطني ثم تم عرض فيلما تسجيليا بعنوان “عقول تفكر ووطن ينهض” من إنتاج المركز الإعلامي لجامعة السويس.
وفي كلمته أعرب أ.د. أشــــــــــرف حنيجــــــــــل عن سعادته بلقاء علماء الجامعة في هذا الحفل المميز الذي تنظمه الجامعة في نسخته الثالثة احتفاءً وتقديرًا لجهود أبنائها المتميزين من أعضاء هيئة التدريس والباحثين والطلاب المجتهدين لما حققوا من إنجازات نوعية في مجال البحث العلمي.
وأشار سيادته إلى أن ملف البحث العلمي تُوليه الجامعة عناية خاصة باعتباره ركيزة أساسية في خدمة المجتمع وتحقيق الريادة المعرفية.
وأكد رئيس جامعة السويس أن قطاع التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي في مصر يحظى باهتمام بالغ من فخامة السيد الرئيس / عبد الفتاح السيسي رئيس الجمهورية، الذي يؤمن بأن العلم هو طوق النجاة الحقيقي لأي أمة تسعى للنهوض والتقدم.
حيث تجسّد هذا الاهتمام في إطلاق المبادرات الوطنية، وتدشين الجامعات التكنولوجية والأهلية، ومنها جامعة السويس الأهلية التي تمثل خطوة رائدة في دعم الابتكار وتطوير منظومة التعليم العالي، فضلًا عن توفير الدعم غير المحدود للباحثين والمبتكرين، وإدراج البحث العلمي ضمن أولويات الدولة في خططها الاستراتيجية لتحقيق التنمية المستدامة ورؤية مصر 2030.
كما أشار إلى الدور المحوري لوزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، بقيادة أ.د. محمد أيمن عاشور في تطوير منظومة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي في مصر، من خلال تبني سياسات استراتيجية تُعزز من جودة التعليم وتربط البحث العلمي باحتياجات المجتمع وخطط التنمية الوطنية.
وأكد “حنيجــــــــــل” على أن هذا الحفل السنوي يمثّل رسالة عرفان وتقدير لكل من جعل من العلم طريقًا، ومن التميز منهجًا.
فتكريم العلماء والباحثين والطلبة المتفوقين ليس مجرد احتفاء بالإنجاز، بل هو تأكيد على أن منارات الفكر والمعرفة تحتل مكانة راسخة في قلب المؤسسة، بوصفهم قادة المستقبل وحملة شعلة التجديد والإبداع.قد تم منح الباحثين جوائز مالية ودروع وشهادات تقدير
وكان أ.د. شريف فهمي القائم بأعمال نائب رئيس الجامعة لشئون الدراسات العليا والبحوث قد قدم عرضًا عن إنجازات قطاع الدراسات العليا والبحوث بالجامعة، مشيدا بكم الدعم الذي يلقاه القطاع من معالي أ.د رئيس الجامعة الأمر الذي انعكس بشكل إيجابي على مختلف مقاييس ومعايير التقييم بالقطاع.
وأوضح “فهمي” أن الجامعة قد تواجدت فى 19 تصنيف فى العام 2025 بزيادة 58% عام 2024، كذلك دخول الجامعة لاول مرة لتصنيف التايمز impact ranking ضمن احسن 1001 الى 1500 جامعة على مستوى العالم، بالإضافة إلى تقدم الجامعة فى تصنيفات المختلفة على مستوى العام من 100 الى 450 مركز كما تقدمتالى تصنيف التخصصات فى الكيمياء و هندسة البترول و هندسة المناجم و الهندسة اﻻنشائية و المدنية و علوم المواد و العلوم الفيزيائية فى التصنيفات المختلفة، فضلا عن تحقيق الجامعة تقدم كبير فى اﻻبحاث المنشورة كما و كيفا و يقع اكثر من 80 % فى Q1 و َ\Q2.
كما أشار سيادته إلى أن الجامعة قد شهدت خلال عام 2025 تطورًا ملحوظًا في المجلات العلمية المحكمة حيث وصلت إلى إحدى عشرة مجلة، بزيادة قدرها 57% مقارنةً بالعام السابق. كما تم إدراج ثماني مجلات ضمن تصنيفات بنك المعرفة المصري بتقييمات تراوحت بين 6.5 و7، إلى جانب دخول أربع مجلات لتصنيفات دولية مرموقة، منها DOAJ وArcif.
ومن جانبه فقد أوضح أ.د. ياسر آمون مدير وحدة التصنيف الدولي أن الجامعة تعمل جاهدة فى إبراز جهود علماء وكتاب ومفكريها تماشيًا مع التنمية المستدامة والهادفة الي بناء مجتمع قائم على البحث والابتكار متوافقا مع الخطه الاستراتيجية الوطنية للتعليم العالى والبحث العلمي 2023 والمستمده من استراتيجيه التنميه المستدامة رؤيه مصر 2030.
● تكريم الكليات الأكثر نشرًا للبحوث العلمية
وقد قام أ.د. أشرف حنيحل باهداء دروع للكليات الأكثر نشرًا للبحوث العلمية حيث جاءت كلية هندسة البترول والتعدين في المركز الثالث، ثم كلية التكنولوجيا والتعليم احتلت المركز الثاني، في حين تمكنت كلية العلوم أن تتصدر القائمة بالمركز الأول.

● تكريم كلية التكنولوجيا والتعليم
و حرص رئيس الجامعة على تكريم كلية التكنولوجيا والتعليم عقب اعتماد الهيئة القومية لضمان جودة التعليم برنامجي القوى الكهربية والإنشاءات بكلية التكنولوجيا والتعليم، لتسجل الجامعة أول اعتماد أكاديمي لها منذ تأسيسها، لتضيف للجامعة إنجاز جديد.
كما كرم رئيس فريق وحدة التصنيف الدولي بالجامعة تقديرا لدورهم البارز في رفع تصنيف الجامعة عالميًا في مختلف انواع التصنيفات.
Science Day Celebration at Suez ● University

This morning, the third annual Science Day Celebration was held at the Suez University Theatre under the patronage and presence of Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heniegal, President of the University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Sherif Fahmy, Acting Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, along with the deans of faculties, faculty members, and researchers at the university.
The ceremony opened with the playing of the national anthem, followed by the screening of a documentary titled “Thinking Minds and a Rising Nation” produced by the Media Center of Suez University.
In his speech, Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heniegal expressed his pleasure in meeting the university’s scholars in this distinguished event, now in its third edition, which celebrates and honors the efforts of its outstanding members of faculty, researchers, and diligent students for their significant achievements in scientific research.
He emphasized that scientific research is a top priority for the university, as it is a fundamental pillar in serving society and achieving knowledge leadership.
The President of Suez University stressed that the higher education and scientific research sector in Egypt enjoys great support from His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who believes that science is the true lifeline for any nation aspiring to rise and progress.
This support is evident in the launch of national initiatives and the establishment of technological and national universities, including Suez National University—a pioneering step in supporting innovation and developing the higher education system—alongside the provision of unlimited support for researchers and innovators and the inclusion of scientific research among the state’s strategic priorities for achieving sustainable development and Egypt’s Vision 2030.
He also highlighted the pivotal role of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, led by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, in developing Egypt’s higher education and scientific research system by adopting strategic policies that enhance the quality of education and link research to societal needs and national development plans.
Prof. Dr. Heniegal affirmed that this annual celebration is a message of appreciation to everyone who made science their path and excellence their approach. Honoring scientists, researchers, and outstanding students is not merely a celebration of achievements—it is a reaffirmation that the beacons of thought and knowledge hold a firm place at the heart of the institution, as they are the future leaders and torchbearers of innovation and renewal.
Financial awards, shields, and certificates of appreciation were presented to researchers.
Prof. Dr. Sherif Fahmy, Acting Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research, presented a report on the achievements of the university’s postgraduate and research sector, praising the strong support received from Prof. Dr. President of the University, which positively impacted the sector’s various evaluation criteria.
He explained that the university appeared in 19 international rankings in 2025, a 58% increase compared to 2024. It also entered the Times Higher Education Impact Ranking for the first time, placing among the top 1001–1500 universities worldwide, in addition to advancing in other global rankings by 100 to 450 places.
The university also entered subject-specific rankings in Chemistry, Petroleum Engineering, Mining Engineering, Structural and Civil Engineering, Materials Science, and Physical Sciences. It achieved significant progress in both the quantity and quality of published research, with more than 80% of publications falling within Q1 and Q2 rankings.
He also mentioned that in 2025, the university witnessed remarkable growth in peer-reviewed academic journals, increasing to eleven journals, a 57% rise compared to the previous year. Eight of these journals were included in the Egyptian Knowledge Bank (EKB) rankings with scores ranging between 6.5 and 7, and four journals entered prestigious international indexes, including DOAJ and Arcif.
On his part, Prof. Dr. Yasser Amon, Director of the International Rankings Unit, explained that the university is working diligently to showcase the contributions of its scientists, authors, and intellectuals in alignment with sustainable development goals, aiming to build a knowledge- and innovation-based society in accordance with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Scientific Research 2023, derived from Egypt’s Sustainable Development Strategy: Vision 2030.
● Honoring the Faculties with the Highest Research Publication Output
Prof. Dr. Ashraf Heniegal presented shields to the faculties with the most research publications. The Faculty of Petroleum and Mining Engineering ranked third, the Faculty of Technology and Education came in second, and the Faculty of Science secured the first place.

The President of the University was keen to honor the Faculty of Technology and Education following the accreditation by the National Authority for Quality Assurance of Education for its programs in Electrical Power and Construction, marking the university’s first academic accreditation since its establishment—an important achievement for the university.
He also honored the team of the International Rankings Unit in recognition of their outstanding role in raising the university’s international ranking across multiple global indices.
